Absolutely! No prior experience in music or dance is required. Our masters tailor instruction to your level, from complete beginners to advanced practitioners. What matters most is your curiosity and willingness to immerse yourself in the culture.
You'll stay in carefully selected, locally-owned guesthouses in safe neighborhoods. Rooms are comfortable with private or shared bathrooms (your choice), air conditioning, and Wi-Fi. Most importantly, you'll be welcomed as family, not just a guest.
Like any major city, Salvador requires street awareness. Our local guides know the city intimately and will teach you how to navigate safely. You'll always be accompanied in unfamiliar areas, and we only visit neighborhoods where we have established relationships. Our safety record over 15+ years speaks for itself.
Light, comfortable clothing suitable for warm weather and movement. White clothing for religious ceremonies (we'll explain why). Good walking shoes, sunscreen, and an open mind. Musical instruments are provided, but you're welcome to bring your own. We'll send a detailed packing list upon booking.
